Week 1-2: Swelling and bruising improve. Most patients are able to return to normal daily activities by 2 weeks.
Week 3-6: Increased arm mobility but no lifting, pushing, or pulling greater than 10 lbs.
Week 6+: Final results become more visible. Any activity restrictions are lifted. Supportive bras are recommended beyond 6 weeks, but may now include underwire.
Month 3+: Patients are typically fully recovered but may continue to heal for up to 1 year. The final breast shape appears by 6 months to a year. A supportive bra is still recommended to slow the effects of gravity over time.
