What to Expect on the Day of a Revision Tummy Tuck
The fun begins today! When you arrive back at our San Antonio office, we will lead you to an operating room, where you can privately change into a surgical gown. Dr. Rokosz will go through your treatment plan again to make sure you are both on the same page.
To begin your procedure, you’ll be given general anesthesia. This ensures you don’t feel any pain for the entire procedure. Next, Dr. Rokosz will use the existing scar as the incision point or create a new one. She will carefully remove the excess skin, tighten the muscles, revise the scarring, and/or use liposuction to refine your results and set you on a path to heal into the body that matches your goals.
The surgery typically takes around 2-4 hours, depending on the complexity and amount of correction. You can return home the same day, but you must be driven by a trusted contact.
