Lip Lift

Most people feel only mild discomfort after a lip lift. You might have some soreness, swelling, and tightness under the nose and upper lip for a few days, but these are easy to manage with prescribed medication or over-the-counter pain medicine.

Most will have their first consultation, a pre-op visit, the surgery itself, and one or more follow-up appointments. This lets Dr. Stallworth check on your healing, remove stitches if needed, and make sure everything is going well.

You’ll see a change in your upper lip right after surgery, but swelling will affect how it looks at first. Initially, the lip may appear stiff and lack normal motion. As most swelling subsides over two to three weeks, your final results will become more evident. Ultimate appearance will continue to improve over the next few months as you heal.

Many lip lift clients can travel a few days after surgery if they feel well and follow their aftercare instructions. If you plan to travel for an extended period, Dr. Stallworth might suggest waiting until after your first follow-up visit to ensure your recovery is on track.
