What to Expect on the Day of a Thigh Lift
During your initial consultation, Dr. Rokosz will evaluate your case and discuss your goals in detail to determine the right surgical plan. A thigh lift is performed under general anesthesia and takes about 3-4 hours, depending on the extent of the procedure.
Depending on your needs, the surgery may involve:
- Liposuction to remove localized fat deposits and assist in skin excision.
- Carefully planned incisions along the groin crease or inner thigh, depending on the type of lift required. Excess skin and fat are removed, and the remaining skin is redraped for a tighter, smoother appearance.
- Local anesthesia is injected throughout the surgical site to decrease post-operative pain.
- Sutures are placed internally and externally to support healing and minimize scarring.
- Moderate-to-severe cases may require placement of a drain to prevent fluid accumulation after surgery.
Incision length and placement depend on the amount of skin being removed. Dr. Rokosz’s technique focuses on achieving a discrete, symmetrical, and natural-looking result with the least visible scarring possible.
